Awful place tourist trap. Would not recommend this place for any reason first the prices are as high as you can imagine but I mean even higher than what you will expect in the city. Second and more important is that the owner treatment of customer (or what seem as the owner base on the way he behaves). This goes beyond anything you would consider normal it's almost feel he doesn't like that people are coming in the store. I would just continue two blocks down or up you'll find another much more polite managed wine and liquor store.

A friend recommended this place. I was having trouble finding a less common type of wine and had checked many liquor stores already, and was growing frustrated that I couldn’t find it anywhere. This store, I walk in and immediately an employee asks if he can help me. I had checked their website beforehand and had screenshots of TWO (!) of this kind of wine that showed as being in stock. The employee immediately found both, and both were in the fridge so they were already cold too! I’m so happy; it was worth the hour trip from Brooklyn. Excellent variety & customer service.

I have been going to Mitchell's for about 4 1/2 years, and they have always had the best pricing. There are about 8-10 other liquor stores within a 3 block radius, and all of them are more expensive than Mitchell's. The selection of wines are pretty good. And as far as regular liquor goes, they have everything. But again - the prices are always much lower than everyone else.

I can see why this place only has 3 star average. WOW the “manager” at the register was an unhappy, unfriendly, unhelpful person. I can’t speak for their other employees but this “manager” really made this a disappointing experience and is not a great personality to have at the front of the store.

I only ever get wine here, for my wife. These guys are always great. For those who know wine, they have a great selection. And their prices are a lot lower than neighborhood places. ***PRO-TIP: They are one of the only places around that has "de-alcoholized" wine, Ariel.
