Great place and fresh lobster! They have live lobster and more of it than you could shake a stick at. They will cook it and separate the meat out for you, but you should call ahead. They don't generally have it sitting around.
We were fortunate they just happened to have 2 lbs. available, but, normally, you'll be waiting if you don't order ahead. Nice people and a quality product. Keep Capt. Don's dream alive!

Last minute decision for lobster at 6pm after a beach day and the only shop open till 7 from Rye to Salisbury it seems. Excellent, knowledgeable and friendly customer service! Bought two culled lobsters (only needed the meat for Mac and cheese) and they were sweet, fresh and delicious! Also bought a lb of steamers which were also fresh and clean. Worth stopping in! Will def be back : )

Well, went to Captain Don's pound and purchased some "FRESH" lobsters. Asked for a dozen and when I got home an hour later in an airconditioned car, FOUR were dead. There is no way that these critters were alive when I purchased them. When I called to explain my concerns, the person on the phone just hung up on me. Four wasted lobsters made the price per pound go up for me considerably but, they did get rid of 4 that they didn't have to write off. Go somewhere else, not worth the chance of bad seafood making you sick.

Lobster was the most tender we had in a long time and the steamers were much better than those at the Rye Lobster Pound which is super well rated. All this at half the price of Brown's or Markey's plus great smiling personal service !

This spot is off the main road and it is a jem nice people great service a bit pricey but worth all the fresh sea food located off the water great deck nice views fresh air lots of shade dine in or out you will love it
almost forgot parking can be tuff when the place is full but i keep going back 😎
