My card was used fraudulently at this location. My bank time stamped the transaction and I got the alert at 2:18am. That time is non-business hrs but still has employees working at that time. Gave me the store number as well. And the amount which was a small amount. Went to the location and when it opened for business. Gave them card number. Amount and time. Unbeknownst to them, I Overheard the employee who was looking into it and the employee assisting me STATE THE NAME OF THE EMPLOYEE AND REGISTER IT WAS USED. When they came to update me, as I was waiting in the store, it was “not in the system. And had no records of the transaction.” Even though I already heard the info. I hadn’t been to this store in a few weeks. And my bank also tells me type of purchase. (Online, In store) and tells me the exact time.

UPDATE:
I spoke to Rick (manager at the bakery) and he was very understanding and apologized. He offered a full refund and a future cake at no cost. That experience alone shifted my whole experience. I will say that though the cake did not look the greatest, it was very good.

ORIGINAL:
I ordered a birthday cake online for my boys birthday. I picked a SpongeBob one (see attached). I opted for Vons because their cakes are always delicious and I’ve had pleasant experiences in the past. It was my first time ordering at this specific location. When I went to pick up my cake today, I was shocked. The cake looked nothing like what I ordered. The young lady there saw my reaction and looked at the cake and we just stood there in silence for a moment. I ordered a full sheet cake and the image didn’t cover even 1/2 of the cake let alone the whole cake as pictured on their website. The borders were so thin and tiny. The cake was smushed on the side and on top. The image was laid slightly crooked. The image borders were extremely noticeable.. the cake looked extremely bare. She offered to add writing on it to make it look fuller and apologized and said it did not look right and would offer $10 off. She took the cake back and wrote on it and when she brought it back and showed me, I wanted to cry. A whole canvas to write on and an opportunity to write it big and dead center on alignment and all of the writing was shifted to the left of the cake and not centered at all. She didn’t even wait for me to say anything when she acknowledged and offered $20 off. I paid it and just left. I spent so much money on this party and feel embarrassed to show this cake. I will be reaching out to management for this but wanted to share. It’s too late for me to order a SpongeBob cake elsewhere.
