A very clean and top notch real fish market with top quality seafood. It is the only fish market I have been to in FL that smells like a top shelf Cape Cod market. The lobsters are all spunky and fresh looking. The owners know the shell hardness and sex of the lobsters with no difficulty. The fish (they always have fresh haddock, cod, flounder, and sole) are never over the hill and always smell like the sea. The clams and oysters are always fresh and as fresh out of the water as they can be. A real gem here in Florida!

We drive all the way from North Carolina down here to visit friends and never leave Florida until we hit this fish market. Very clean excellent quality seafood we always leave with king crab legs and gulf shrimp It is the best quality you could ever ask for and the girls are great to work with. Wouldn't buy anywhere else out of here.

They have a beautiful selection of fresh fish and shellfish, as well as frozen if that's more your speed. The store is fairly easy to locate, and the couple running the store are both great with their customers, and helping to fill their customer's needs.

Will definitely be returning here.

Port charlotte store closed for the summer!!! I eat shrimp year round, now your only open during tourist & bird season not driving 38 miles to the other store,won't come back,charlotte fish Co had Great shrimp stay with them

We came here to get some fish for dinner, and we like coming here. But today may have been an "Off" day. We ordered Ahi Tuna and two crab cakes. When we left the store, we looked at the receipt, and discovered we were charged $19.99 a pound for the tuna. After going back in the store, we said to the people there, that we were charged $19.99 / lb, not $16.99 / lb as the sign said on the tuna. They checked their computer, which said $19.99 / lb. That was all they would do - nothing. So, in the future, we must verify the cost of the fish before we purchase anything. I posted 4 stars because of our service in the past, and reflecting today's experience.

First visit. Asked if halibut was fresh and told it came in day before (assumed it was previously frozen but since learned ships within 48 hors from New Zealand).Went home to prepare it and smelled fishy. I washed it well and cooked with a little olive oil hoping it would be ok. No, house still smells and had to through the whole pound out. Very disappointed. Also previously wrote we bought smoked salmon here but actually got at another market. Didn't buy fish at other place because they didn't have any halibut

Ordered lobster meat for 55.00 today. I am from New England. It was the most disgusting lobster meat I have ever tasted. Stay as far away from this place as you possibly can. I use to go here when the previous owners had this but always went to Englewood and was very much quality seafood, this was absolutely disgusting.
