This past Monday evening, my wife and I visited the new Tom Thumb to pick up dinner and explore the store. While we were impressed with most of the departments and the store's overall layout, we did encounter a concerning issue in the butcher area.

The young man assisting us seemed to need additional training. While helping us with kebabs, he struggled with wrapping them securely. Initially, he used cellophane wrap, but it tore during the process. When I asked for butcher paper instead, it was applied with minimal care, and the kebabs were still falling out. More concerning, while handling the meat, he repeatedly reached toward his rear to adjust his pants, which was not sanitary for the food-handling environment.

I’d strongly recommend that management, especially with this being a new location, prioritize staff training and enforce proper hygiene practices in the butcher area. This will ensure a safe and professional experience for customers. Aside from this issue, the rest of the store was clean, well-organized, and enjoyable to shop in. With a little more attention to detail, this Tom Thumb has the potential to be an excellent addition to the community.

My husband shops when the store opens and he said the same thing. We adore these sweet people and know it comes from the supervisor. He said, their greetings and smiles make his day. I agree.

First time me and my wife went to the new tom thumb was Saturday. First all the whole place smelled like bad fish, second it was too crowded to really shop due to a massive amount of employees down the aisles. Every thing in the ad was sheer rip offs , they priced lower everywhere else. We bought a few groceries there and finished our shopping elsewhere. One of the items purchased been opened before and we didn't know it til the next day, I never think about checking the heavy cream. This will probably be my one and only time coming in here. We really only came for the cowboy cheerleaders being there. We was going to do our entire shopping there but it would have mess with our budget plans, First impressions for this place sucks.

This place is expensive. We needed another grocery store, but be prepared to pay more.
Paid almost $80 for what I would have gotten at Walmart or HEB for about $60-70. This won't be my normal shopping store, but if I need something bad enough and it's closer and way way less congested than the ones in town.

Also, use the app. and you will probably save a bit better. I threw out my old Tom Thumbs card, because I haven't been close to one in YEARS, I'm not even sure they accept those cards anymore, because everything is going "phone app." these days.

I had an incredible experience at Tom’s Grocery Store! The customer service was outstanding—everything was so seamless. I didn’t have to wait at all at checkout, the parking lot was spotless with carts quickly put away, and a staff member even helped unload my cart at the register and offered to help me to my car.

The attention to detail and helpfulness were above and beyond. I’m thrilled to have such a fantastic grocery store just 10 minutes away, and I can’t wait to make this my go-to place for shopping!

I just left your new store, first timer.everyone was nice and the store beautiful however,

Your sacker with the super short red hair, female. Needs to get some training on people skills. She made a comment about my fur coat.wanting to know why I’m wearing it when it’s warmer.

Why is my coat her business? She’s an employee who should serve the public with manners and a good attitude. I’ve been in hospitality my whole life, this behavior needs to be corrected. Maybe don’t make comments about what guest wear. Just be kind!
