All the fish we’ve purchased at Svenfiah has been of the highest quality. Not cheap but that is to be expected.
Recommend the smelts! Fresh! Delicious, quick and easy to pan fry.

Great fish market! Fresh seafood, the sushi grade Tuna was excellent! We purchased their poke bowls on our first visit, really good. 😉 Well worth the drive. The owner and staff were very welcoming and helpful. Will definitely be visiting again soon!!

I guess if you have family, this market works for you. But as a person on my own, it has bothered me that they won't sell in increments under a pound. And my most recent purchase, a haddock fillet, was full of pin bones. Clearly the fish had not been properly filleted. The email I sent has gone unanswered. I will not be purchasing from Svenfish again.

We have had fairly good success with the Captain’s Choice small subscription. The fish is very fresh and is better than what you can get in most grocery stores.

However, I have had a negative experience with their customer service. We ordered and paid for a fresh, whole side of salmon for Easter. When it came time for pickup, I was told they did not have what I had ordered and the only comparable thing that would satisfy our needs was a large piece of frozen salmon which, when properly cooked, was mushy and not very appetizing.

I subsequently wrote them an email saying I would have appreciated a little more communication around the availability of the salmon I had ordered for this special occasion. I never heard back. I wrote a review on their site telling people that perhaps they should inquire about the availability of this product when they order it. They did not publish it.

For a business that touts their “crazy, fresh fish! Always fresh, never frozen” and that claims satisfaction is their top priority, it was disappointing to just be ignored.

Love this place! Great for sushi grade salmon and tuna. Very fresh and Sven and wife are increasingly nice people. Best fish market in the Concord/Acton/Sudbury area, hands down!

Sometime buying at the supermarket or even a local fish store, the fish is not real fresh. Svenfish seems to pay attention to the idea of fresh fish. Not only do they have good fish, I look for specialty items like Cod cheeks, which I love cooking with (Shhh keep it a secret they get them occasionally). Prices are mid to high, but it is worth the special attention to freshness. The store is hard to see from the road, look for the little sign and park out back.

Excellent quality fresh salmon that I’ve been routinely getting each week for well over a year. Delivered to a market about 20 minutes from us. Met the delivery person a few times, very impressed with his caring attitude. A suggested improvement would be to the text/email delivery notification process. It is very helpful as we travel a ways for pickup, but it is not consistent. Probably about 50% when no delivery notification is sent. Highly recommended overall.

Svenfish is the best if you want to fresh fish! I have been subscribing weekly to Svenfish’s ‘large Captain’s Choice’ for the longest time now and I have never been disappointed! Delivery to my door every Friday, customer care and service are always pronto, pricing is incredible … what’s not to like or ❤️?! Svenfish’s routes affect where I will move to in the event when I move — that’s how good Svenfish is! 😊
