Let me tell you guys about this little food truck/pit...it's Red and you can see it from the road

I've been here before and I always get the ribs with honey barbecue sauce. And I always get something sweet no matter what it is it's always amazing,!

Today I decided to try their sides... Macaroni and cheese to be exact.

Apparently the macaroni and cheese is higher in price than their other side which I did not know until I got ready to pay. It might have said it on their menu which was posted on the front of it but it was typed out very small so maybe I just didn't see it 🤦🏽‍♀️

So I wind up getting two rib dinners for me and my daughter which came with two sides we decided on double macaroni and cheese...(remember I told you there was an upcharge for the Mac)

I was expecting my bill to be around $29 but I was shocked when she said 39$!
So I said this must be some good macaroni and cheese! You know for that price

Let me just say this.. if you're going to get any sides definitely DON'T get the macaroni and cheese. If you are expecting homemade authentic macaroni and cheese it just was not giving that.😔 ESPECIALLY FOR THE PRICE! IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE SAME PRICE AS EVERYTHING ELSE IT WAS NOTHING REALLY SPECIAL ABOUT IT THE PORTION SIZE WAS EVEN SMALL.

I also got the banana pudding and a slice of strawberry cake! Like I said the sweets are always amazing almost better than the ribs 😆

But this is a special place I think next time I'm going to try the chicken or maybe even a mullet sandwich 🤔

I think this place is definitely worth a try 🧡 I gave this place three stars but I would have gladly given it five stars if the macaroni and cheese tasted better.😮‍💨

Let me just start by saying this place comes so highly recommended by so many in town. I decided to finally stop by today, get lunch, and see for myself.

Located on the side of the road on Tharpe St, in a bright red food trailer. You really can't miss it. Let's get back to it, so I got the Ribs and Chicken combo with Bake Beans. I also ordered another Rib dinner with fries, (2)Potatoe Salads, and Mac-N-Cheese. The total costs around about $33 but honestly not worth it taste wise.

First, the side portions are bite size and taste bland almost straight out the package especially the beans. I dislike to give such a review; however, this place is very overhyped for some reason. I expected different but not this yet another disappointment.

Best BBQ in the South, hands down. Every detail possible is taken into consideration when making the food. The staff is courteous, quick, and amazing. The BBQ sauce selection is wide and they do not skimp out on putting it on there. The fries are made to order and at the perfect point. There is seating available and it is comfortable. Smokin'Lo's is amazing comfort food and I would drive hours just to visit it. You will not be disappointed.

Very good ribs! Excellent smoke. Excellent bite. Beans were nachos as was the slaw. The tangy sauce was the best, but order then naked! Very friendly staff. 9 of 10 would return.

Hands down the best BBQ RIBS in Tallahassee! Consistent every time we go. Tender ribs & chicken and great fried fish and shrimp too!!!! You gotta try their mild lemon pepper wings. Love this spot

That smoky flavor sure was there! Definitely get that rib dinner with the sweet sauce on Fri-Sun and you'll be set!

If you’re looking for a restaurant with a terrible owner and bad service this is the place for you. My family and I decided to dine here after hearing good things about their food. Boy were we in for an extremely rude awakening. The line was long, but we did not have any problem waiting. We ordered our food paid $43.00 and then were told to wait. So we waited for about 25 minutes then our name was called. When I finally spoke with the cashier I was told that they no longer had any chicken. This was very odd considering we had just paid and 2/3 of the meals that we ordered were chicken. Also it’s very odd to tell a customer that you don’t have something after they’ve waited for over 25 minutes. So after consulting with my party we decided to change one of the orders to ribs and to get a refund on the other order which was wings. I walked up to the man that had been proudly yelling that’s he’s been doing this for over 20 years and who I assumed was the OWNER. I was very calm and professional during this entire process. I explained the issue to him and was immediately met with hostility. He told me that there was chicken wings and that I was wrong. I told him that this is what I was told by his cashier and he angrily said well I DIDN’T TELL YOU ANYTHING. He starts yelling and talking about me to his employees loud yelling “hurry up and get her out of here”!! He appeared so angry I was in fear that he wanted to start an altercation!! He then rushes and miraculously he now has chicken and fixes our plate. We were given our food with an attitude and it was not even correct. EVERY SINGLE side was missing and the flavors for my wings were incorrect. We didn’t want anything special but to pay for the food and to receive the food we ordered. Instead we received rude customer service after the restaurant made a mistake in taking orders without checking their inventory. Mr. Lo it is not your customer’s responsibility to know your inventory but is your cashier’s responsibility to know and it’s even more YOUR responsibility to tell them so that this type of situation does not occur. I cannot believe this was the experience that my family and I received from this establishment! Ultimately we decided the best option was to get a refund. Smokin Lo’s was very unprofessional and the way everything was handled was extremely inappropriate. I will be sure to tell people to never dine at Smokin Lo’s.

OMG! If you like BBQ, look no further. It’s here, right here on Tharpe Street. This Dynamic Duo cook up some savory and sweet. Ribs and Chicken were awesome, beans delish and the cake a delightful finish to the meal. They have a lot more choices than just BBQ including catfish and wings. Approach the window, you’re flashed a beautiful smile and a friendly greeting, place your order, pay your bill and then sit back in one of the lawn chairs under the tent and wait for your order... your patience will be rewarded!
