This Publix has it RIGHT in every department!! The customer service representatives represent their departments within the store with the utmost professionalism!!!

However, I want to go on record to report that the bakery is TOP KNOTCH!!!! I went to a baby shower at my cousin’s on Saturday and the cake was simply scrumptious!!! It was so good that Sunday night I ordered a cake online and picked it up in Monday!! I had the option to pay online or when I picked up and I elected to pay in the store. When I picked it I didn’t have to wait because the process by which they design to retrieve the orders is brilliant.

In this day and time, it is refreshing to spend your money gathering your grocery at a place where all the employees you encounter take pride in the delivery of their assignment and treat you with kindness and respect. The management is obviously on point in the best possible way, and the owners have apparently articulated the desired culture for their stores; especially the Colonial Heights, Va location.

The person or persons in charge of training their staff in customer service is exceptional. Highly impressed with their consistent, professionalism. They can give Trader Joe's run for their money! Check out service is fully staffed with a real person, and there's always a member monitoring & facilitating any check out service issues/questions. Their Deli dept. & staff are at the top of their game, always🫡💯 👍

Basically price gouging for years. There are many items that you can buy at the local Food Lion that cost substantially less. They have nice BOGO options a lot, but beware because this seems to signal a price increase once the sale is off. The Deli dept. is horrible most days. I understand that it can be a difficult job, but I’ve never seen such employee turnover in my life. The slicers are ALWAYS disgusting and dirty, and I’ve needed to ask management multiple times to please have them cleaned. You will get debris that’s been in the slicer for hours clinging to your order. As if they haven’t had enough issues with the Boar’s Head recall. Also not good if you have allergies or certain dietary restrictions. For the high prices they charge for most Boar’s Head products, they need to do better.
Update - To add some proof about the deli slicers. This was on 2/16/24. Simply disgusting.
Update 2/25/24 - Pre-sliced Boars Head Deluxe ham with slicer debris all over it. Thanks again, Publix.

Always Friendly and professional service. At a 💯consistency rate. Shopping at this Publix is always a good experience and let’s not forget about all the goodies in the store, and the good food they have at the deli.
The pharmacy staff is Topflight as well very knowledgeable and friendly. Any questions you have they will answer and the pharmacist gladly provide patient teaching on the medication you’re picking up. And if there’s any areas of concerns that they note or maybe medication that are not ideally compatible, they’ll let you know. They always seem glad to see you and despite all the customers they have come into the store, some of the pharmacist and pharmacy technician knows exactly who you are, and what you’re there for 🙂
