Great friendly people and good prices for very fresh fish sourced locally.

This place is legit. The fish is fresh and very good prices. Whole squid caught locally was only $3/lb. The oysters were $1/each and very fresh, not opened at all, it was kinda hard to shuck some of them actually lol. They are happy to give you plenty of ice as well.

Excellent place for fresh squid and oysters. Love going here, easy parking and plenty of sea food to choose from. Reason for 2 stars is because some workers are not that friendly and when I called in Christmas eve they told me they were closing at 1pm and rushed in. Later came back and found out they were still open. I purchased a whole fish and they told me they don't clean it which is wrong because they cleaned it for me before. I try it again and see if they do.

Bought four crabs the other day. Got them home and out of 8 claws that should have been there, only 3 claws existed, the other 5 clearly removed intentionally. What a rip off!

FRESH! I can't stress "fresh" enough!! Best place in the entire world to purchase fresh fish!! Fishermen from all throughout the Bay drop off their fish here daily and sometime multiple times per day. I wish I still lived in Monterey to have access to this amazing fresh fish market. They sell all types of seafood to the public!! It's a must-go if you are a local. I'd still highly recommended it if you're a traveler and have access to a kitchen to cook up a delicious, fresh seafood dinner.
