While cruising North through British Columbia in a remote section of the Inside Passage this last summer, we experienced a major failure of our PTO coupling, making our anchor winch non-op. We reached MER via sat phone and, after determining that original replacement parts were no longer available, they quickly got a solution rolling with support from their Engineering and Parts Depts. Repair parts had to be shipped to a remote location in BC, which presented additional logistical challenges. When Fedex failed to deliver on-time per their Priority International Shipping guarantee, MER worked with us for many months to secure a refund from them on the shipping cost. Overall, MER provided very good communication and support throughout the process of getting our parts delivered and installed so we could get on our way North to Alaska.

Tyler and John were absolutely the best for support. With there excellent support and hand holding we able to do our Coupling/Clutch/Hydraulic Pump repair in house. They saved the vessel several thousands dollars in contractor work because of their sincere interest to help and prompt answers to our questions. They deserve 6 stars! Let just hope they don't have so much success that they get bought out by some multinational corporation and we lose their personal touch.

My customer purchased a vessel with a never installed Kubota hydraulic power plant that had been sitting for about 10 years. After install it would not start-No fuel was going through the injector pump. After several attempts to correct the problem, I reached out to MER. Moe in the service department took my call and went above and beyond to help diagnose the problem by phone since the vessel was in Portland and could't be brought in. I could not have asked for more. Moe took on the problem with me and offered expert advice that gave me the information to fix the issue and get my customer up and running. Talk about customer service!! These guys are great! My RV diesel generator was chugging, smoking and would hardly run. I had already been to a couple other places and spent a fair amount of money, but no one could figure it out. Stopped by this place and had Erik take a look. We discussed some options, made some decisions and moved forward with a plan of attack. Within a very short period of time, my generator was purring like a kitten again! These guys are easy to work with, very knowledgeable and very reasonably priced. Highly recommended!
