Very disappointed. I have always had a great experience here and the fish is a bit pricey but generally you get what you pay for so, I was ok with it. I came in for a filled of red snapper at $19/lb and it was right before they were closing. The gentlemen behind the counter even asked me a second time what kind of fish I wanted and I reiterated that I just wanted 1 fillet of red snapper. He fumbled around a bit seemingly looking for the fish. They were packing everything away for the evening so it could have been misplaced or already put away, regardless he gave me grouper which is $32/lb and on my way home my husband looked at the package and was blown away that a fillet of red snapper was $53 .. I called the next day explaining the situation and took photos of the fish and the package with what I was charged. He acted like it was no big deal, just a misunderstanding and if I went up there he would reconcile the situation. I drove 20 minutes up there for him to tell me that the fish appears to be grouper and it was a misunderstanding and there's nothing he can do about it. My husband... an avid fisher saw the fillet and said that is absolutely NOT grouper. Super disappointed because I eat a lot of fish and quality is important to me. 1 star for quality but the service and how this was handled wad extremely disappointing.

The freshest seafood in town. Every single time I buy from here I'm impressed with the quality of the fish, crab and shrimp. You can also order hot food to go. I bought sushi-grade salmon and shrimp tempura, and created a poke bowl at home! Great prices for the quality as well. (If you're buying raw fish to make your own sushi, the price is unbeatable!)

My family and I love Lighthouse! We especially enjoy the crabcakes and the amazing selection and price of their seafood. This past weekend I took my mom who lives down in Silver Spring. She was staying w/ us for the weekend and she always has to get her crabcakes:)

Last month my mom lost her husband of 33 years (my stepfather) and one of their favorite places to go together was Lighthouse. This was her first trip there since he passed away. My mom got emotional when she stepped up to the register and she told the young man who was behind the register why she was upset. He was so compassionate and empathetic towards my mom and had beautiful words of encouragement. I just wanted to share this story because you never know what someone else is going through and this young man took the time to be kind. Thank you Lighthouse for not only being a beacon of good food but also caring about your customers.

Amazing selection. Love the crab pretzels, banging... Anytime I'm in the area, I have to stop in to grab something because you can never go wrong. Staff are always polite and helpful‼️

This place rocks. They get all types of fish and everything they sell is of the highest quality. Not only that, their staff is very knowledgeable and kind. Lighthouse does a great job of featuring local products.

We’ve eaten here many times over the years, it’s been a while since we’ve been and we were looking forward to our evening out. We were met with the young front of the house who had the personality of a toad, and our waitress was far from interactive and pleasant. Started off with girl who brought our appetizer immediately put our plates down, then said oh and took them back because they were dirty and wet. The food was typically always good, we enjoyed our meal until my husband got finished with his fish taco and found a huge hair -the waitress came over and was going to ask about dessert and my husband said he had lost his appetite and she immediately said I can see why. She took the plate and took it right over to what we assume was a manager, she came back over and just handed us our bill-nothing said. Figured he would come over and at least apologize-say here’s a free drink-something-but nothing. Put a real bad taste in our mouth -literally. Won’t be going back for quite a while-or maybe never. Place has a completely different vibe to it.
Have read a lot of reviews and there seems to be an overwhelming agreement-your management needs to be re-trained.
This place use to so nice, great food, nice atmosphere, staff was friendly. I’ve had large gatherings here before-several times. Always try to support our local businesses-we’ve lived here for 30 years. This place has changed-and not for the better.

Staff is amazing! Super helpful and great conversation! Can't exactly say the same for the upper management. It's a shame they let go the people who seem like they really care!
