I can’t stop thinking about the delicious lobster roll. Best lobster roll I’ve ever had. Also, the best clam chowder. Many pieces of clam and gluten free! My husband wants to go back tomorrow. Food is gourmet. The store is a bit small, but probably the best food we will eat on our vacation.

Found this gem of a seafood market/restaurant in truckee this weekend.

The owner/employees all super friendly and the seafood-OH MY GAWD, so fresh and o read about their sustainability commitment and that just makes me love them even more!

Go buy seafood! Eat it raw, cook it, have them cook it-you can’t go wrong!

Bonus points for Zack who told me where I could get ‘Lunch’ in truckee. (Best beer-iykyk)

After snow shoeing, my friend and I stopped at Buoy and Trap! My research told me this was the place to go! We LOVED everything we ate! We savored it all- the raw oysters were perfectly chilled- super cold - and delish, the baked oysters with the chipotle sauce were savory! We also had the crab sliders and the poke bowl- crab sliders were packed with sweet, yummy crab and the poke bowl was divine- perfect cubes of tender raw tuna, pineapple and seaweed salad! We finished our meal already planning on returning tonight or tomorrow before we head home!

You must try their Trappy Hour! Deliciously warmed bun for the lobster roll; buttery and crispy yet soft. Amazing poke with a punch of different flavors and perfectly soft and sticky rice. Plus, Zack the owner, is kind and interesting. Love to see the East Coast / New England culture represented!

Had lunch there today and it was excellent. It’s so great to have a quality fish market in the mountains. We shared the Maine Lobster Roll and the Hawaiian Poke Bowl: both incredible! Cool little spot with some seating inside and some outside, shared with the neighboring deli. Really looking forward to trying more items here, fish and oyster options looked good and fresh.

Quant and intimate fresh seafood restaurant and fish seller with amazing food. Zach and his fiancé were nice enough to stay open for my brother and I for dinner on the eve of a big snowstorm last weekend. We had the freshest oysters I’ve had anywhere in the world. Zach is a fifth-generation Rhode Island native and brings his authentic cooking to those lucky enough to experience it in Truckee. It turns out a lot of people came in that evening to get fresh fish to cook at home or take out including local snowboarding legend Danny Davis. What a treat to have this experience in Truckee and we can’t wait to go back! Zach is the real deal. Thank you!

Took my 11yr old grandson here after an awesome Truckee River Rafting float. He tried and really liked the oyster and his poke bowl. However, after he tasted my Lobster Roll he regretted not ordering the Lobster Roll. It was very tasty & the roll was a perfect buttery flaky texture that was delicious and unexpected.
I ended up sharing it with him. Next time we know exactly what to order.
The crab slider was pretty good, but that Lobster Roll took the lead. The half glass of white wine
(named ?) paired well with it. The wine I had started with a "Z".

Had the Connecticut lobster rolls and various oyster selections. The freshness of the oysters and lobster was incredible. The rolls were awesome and remarkably split top. They are so hard to find in California. A sweet little gem in Truckee.
