I ordered the swordfish and it was sub-par. I have had it here before and it was great. The place was surprisingly empty and the manager / owner was a really nice friendly person who also served us. The shrimp parmigiana was really tasty. And the lobster bisque was a very generous portion but I would rather less for a lower price.

We have eaten here numerous times over the years and I’m finally giving a review. We started off with the coconut shrimp and clams on the half shell. Both were terrific and the clams were really fresh with some great strong horseradish. Next we both had the spicy buffalo scallop salad, something I’ve enjoyed here since I 1st had it over 15 years ago. The only knock was that it was slightly over dressed with the balsamic dressing. The scallops were cooked perfectly and delicious. For dinner, yes we over ordered which we tend to here, we had the stuffed scallops with a lobster risotto and the Scottish salmon. The salmon was cooked perfectly, moist and fall apart tender with a crispy potato crust. The scallops were cooked perfectly and the risotto was absolutely delicious. Yes we had leftovers to take home, but we can’t help ourselves when ordering here. There’s a reason why we have been patrons for years, the food is not only fresh but cooked perfectly. The service was great and we had no issues at all. We will absolutely continue to go back.

Food was absolutely horrible. Something changed from the original owners and that is quality and freshness. My Manhattan clam chowder was vegetarian, NO CLAMS. My New England Broil had no fresh shrimp, undercooked scallops, a rubber clam, tasteless flounder with tasteless, supposed crab stuffing all drenched in bread crumbs. My wifes tuna was over cooked and the octopus seemed ok, but soft. Will never never return again. What a shame. Over priced and diner quality.

Nice immature response from the owner. I have seen her do that before. We did frequent your place, it was last night. I want to make sure other potential customers don't experience the same lack of quality. Yes, happy and healthy new year to you as well.

Can I give zero stars ? or how about a -1 start for obnoxious ownership.

I went to the Blue Water Seafood restaurant for the very first time for a friend's birthday dinner. I gave 5 stars for the food because the food was amazing. The portions are HUGE!
However, I gave 3 stars for the service. When our party first arrived, there weren't a lot of customers when we got there. Our waiter was very pleasant and professional, but he kept taking our orders individually and submitting them to the kitchen individually. Yes, you read that correctly. I've never seen anything like it and we were a party of 10. Suffice to say, it took a while for us to get from appetizers to the main course. Overall I would recommend the restaurant based on the food. Also, it is BYOB ("bring your own bottle" of alcohol)

Blue Water is a home-y restaurant filled with chaotic laughter and provides family scenery. The restaurant seems to be in a house- limited seating and space! All staff I’ve encountered in the past 4-5 experiences have been superb and beyond pleasant; constantly ready to assist and pamper the customer. But the food is the primary concern here. Our go-to appetizer is the Honey- Soy Calamari, a MUST!! It’s sweet, of course, with crispy fresh calamari, paired with a pink/purple vinegary dipping sauce (acid and sweet= savory). The combination is a slam for our entrees with landed with surf and turf and swordfish. The surf and turf cooked to perfected, lobster broiled, keeping the sweetness of the meat intact. The filet was tender as always, medium rare with drizzles of sweet teriyaki? Not too sure, but perfect. They were paired with asparagus and potatoes. The only downside to this meal was the asparagus, soggy and mushy. The swordfish, as mentioned by my boyfriend, “perfectly seasoned (blackened) and cooked. Consistently light, fresh, and fluffy. Vegetables consisted of shredded zucchini and carrots and crispy well-seasoned potatoes.” The dinner came to ~$105. BYOB. Blue Water has yet to fail!

Quaint little spot right off Rt 18 in East Brunswick. My boys took me there to celebrate my birthday! The atmosphere is really nice, the staff very attentive and the entrees were great. Its a great place to meet and eat! Tell your crew to meet you there. Remember to BYOB and the rest is cake😘😋

This place was very nice it's a small place but the staff is very friendly I had the peanut butter explosion as a dessert and was actually really good for appetizer I had the ginger calamari was very good as well the octopus that we also order it as an appetizer was not really to our taste. As an entree we order pasta with seafood was also good but nothing spectacular that will you look forward to having it again
There is parking in the rear and the place is clean. Attention was on point
