The first cafe stop on our TX weekend getaway did not disappoint. I had a delicious latte with attend half and half and my wife got some iced sugar free latte concoction I couldn't begin to explain, but they made it and she loved it.

The barista offered us some complimentary biscotti which my wife said was excellent.

The ambiance here was very pleasant. Good lighting, chess boards, multiple seating rooms. Including a love seat in one of the corners.

With options like La Mer I have no idea how vastly inferior placeslike Starbucks and Dunkin can survive. It just goes to show you that most American consumers value speed over quality.

I'll always look for places like La Mer to visit first.

Great spot! I'll be back before we head out of town!

Enjoyed our coffee while playing a game of chess, very comfortable atmosphere and the service was amazing!!! The coffee was made deliciously. We are so glad to have tried La Mer Cafe and we will definitely be back!

Been to this cafe twice since I moved to Kemah and it’s amazing ! Never knew of the place til now but glad I found it. I personally LOVE their kraken drinks! So hydrating and yummy. The atmosphere is really nice it’s chill and slow paced which is refreshing compared to Starbucks atmosphere. I’m not a huge fan of their coffee bc I prefer sweet coffee but don’t get me wrong all their stuff is top tier quality! 10/10 even their sandwiches which are BOMB I really enjoyed and will be a regular returning customer.

Very cool spot, was caught by surprise when I absolutely loved the spot... Little areas to sip and read quietly. Super awesome dragon theme and lots of beautiful breakfast options.

Coffee and baked good are great. Service is even better! Nigel is very friendly, helpful, and easy to talk to. When we asked about a special order for an event, the owner came right over and made sure our needs were met. Can’t ask for much more

We visited La Mer for the first time in May 2024. We arrived at Le Mer about 15 minutes before they closed. Since we were so close to closing time, we just went in to check it out but didn't expect to buy anything. Nigel was working that day, and he was so kind. He didn't hesitate to serve us and packed our order of a variety of desserts and drinks to go. La Mer was cute and comfy - nice sitting areas, don't be fooled by the small space up front, there are two other rooms in the back. The bright space, the good food and drink, and the friendly staff makes this a place I will return to.

The standout item from everything we ordered was their Basque cheesecake. A must try.

This was our first visit. The coffee and pastries are absolutely delicious! The atmosphere is very cozy and inviting. The service was friendly. Impeccable attention to details. What a wonderful place to unwind and enjoy some good coffee and possibly one of the many board games that they have available. This will be our new go to spot when visiting from Houston.
