CVS is my go to shopping place for oral health items, supplements and prescriptions. I enjoy browsing through the items on the well organized shelves. This store often has worth while discounts, employs helpful associates and is clean.

Tonight I went to CVS in West Caldwell it was a ghost town. There was one person at the self check out and the light was blinking for assistance. Unfortunately, I had to get a gift card so I needed someone to check me out from a register. I walk in the store and see a female employee so I say very politely excuse me. She completely ignored me so I continued to say excuse me giving the benefit of the doubt that she didn't hear me. Well by this time I am right next to her so without even looking up to acknowledge me she mumbles " he went up front". So I go up front I am not sure if he came up front and left because it only took me a minute to walk up to the front. So now I am at the front of the store and no one is there. I look down the isle where the person is standing and I say loudly hello there is no one up here looking right at her of course I had to raise my voice because she again was completely ignoring me. If you don't want to work and give customer service get another job. Treat people as you would like to be treated. You are rude I am going to be rude right back. Her dismissing me before I even spoke to her was unacceptable.

I know that dealing with insurance companies, doctors offices, and pharmacies is gunna be a pain.

But main I feel that nothing and no one knows anything or is willing to help. They lie just for you to get out of their face.

They no longer accept phone calls and when you leave a message no one calls back. Ridiculous! I think it’s time to move my prescriptions to a different pharmacy.

Called the pharmacy dept and spoke to Tyler very rude was not helpful at all. It's like pulling teeth. I had to provide her with my info and it's like she didn't want to ask for the information. Then she tells me the wrong insurance. I corrected her and she said yes I just corrected myself. Not sure if I want to deal with these people. I changed because they are open 24/7 but the rudeness is not right. I think I'm going back to my old cvs pharmacy

I am very impressed by the outstanding level of customer service at the West Caldwell CVS. The staff is knowledgeable about their products, product location and a pleasure to interact with. I go there very early in the morning when I walk. The store is always very clean and the atmosphere is professional.

I came to CVS to use the ATM and get change as I have several times in the past. The line behind me continued to grow as the only cashier was stuck helping a customer. They called to another cashier for help to which she replied "the self check out is open they can use self check out" I replied no we can't. The customers behind me were elderly and unable to use self check out and I couldn't get the change I needed without the help of a cashier. She walked over to the register and asked what I wanted, when asking for change she answered I cant help you. I asked why not as I had gotten change several times in the past to which she angrily insisted on having no change to give me without having ever opened the register. When asking the other cashier for change she said I cant do anything I cannot help you. Extremely unhelpful and lacking even then most basic customer service skills. Unhappy with my service and would expect more from CVS. I have used CVS for many years but will not continue to go if this is the quality service that is accepted here. I went to Starbucks next door and the cashier happily gave me change and when i explained the struggle I was going through to simply get change she also expressed she's had many bad experiences at this CVS with the same worker. Coincidence? Nope just bad service. 👎

The pharmacy has the absolute worst customer service skills. I stood in line and was waiting my turn & the pharmacy employee calls someone to tell them their medicine is ready & they will be next even though there were other people patiently waiting. Then while ringing the customer up she tells her something is on sale would she like to get another further making everyone in line waiting. When voicing my opinion I was told the customer just got out of the hospital and needed her medicine almost implying she needed her medicine more than myself and the other customers in line.
