2 months late to post the review but, Our AC broke during the hottest week in May and wasn’t fixed until September, despite numerous complaints and having to escalate the issue to upper management.
If you have pets or kids, beware: the neighborhood has a serious tick problem. Multiple times, our dogs came back with ticks after walks, which they promised to address but never did. Additionally, many residents don’t clean up after their dogs, even though there are plenty of waste stations available.
Guest parking was another major inconvenience. Hosting visitors was nearly impossible because parking spots were always occupied by residents who used their garages for storage and parked their cars in visitor spaces.
Overall, we would not recommend this property to anyone looking for a safe, well-maintained, and family-friendly place to live.

The community is beautiful- I love living here! The maintenance team are so helpful and always gets the job done. The property management team are super friendly and always have positive attitude even in bad situations. They treat you like a human being not just tenant. I truly recommend living here it is great community and is very close to shopping centers and highways.

I am not one for negative reviews, but my wife and I were really disturbed by the move out process at Camelot at La Mer.

We loved living here despite various obstacles such as the maintenance crew not showing up, maintenance closing projects before completion, the grounds not working up to standards and trying to charge us for hitting a pipe with a nail with no floor plan to allow us to see where not to hang things on the wall. We did however really like our townhouse, as we lived there for 3 YEARS.

Over the last year, the neighborhood has changed, the service has been going downhill to keep up the property and maintain fixes, etc. BUT, the move out process was horrendous! We received a multiple page packet that included 25+ items we needed to take care of. Most of which, in NJ, is on the owner of the property to fix/replace between each tenant. That being said we worked our butts off to move out and make this place spotless to please the company.

Then, without communication, they took half (thats right HALF) off of our security deposit check to fix a small area of the wood flooring that was scratched (and not even that badly). We have lived there for 3 YEARS! This is normal wear and tear.

This outrageous need to take another $500 from tenants who have been model customers, paid always and rarely ever had a negative thing to say for 3 years + the entire move out process put a damper on what we called home. Because of this I would not recommend moving in. I have lived in multiple places and never have I felt taken advantage of in the move out process until now. It is unfortunate.

The absolute worst apartment complex I have ever experienced in my life. I pay over $3,000 a month for a place that never has any parking and they tow resident vehicles with no warnings and provide no solution to fix but up charge the rent year over year. Don’t ever waste your money living here it is an awful place. On top of it maintenance never actually fixes the problem and they never show up on time.

Had a fire in my home in 2022 and I needed a temporary living arrangement. I couldn't have asked for a better place to live for 9 months. Townhouse was very cozy, rooms very spacious and nice size garage with great neighbors and scenic views. Would recommend to anyone looking for a nice accomodation or renting. Thanks Bob and Theresa for all your hospitality and for the love and compassion you both showed towards me and my dog, Sandy.

Incapable of doing anything to fix the problems tenant faces. Instead they ignore the phone calls and request of service by signing off service requests as completed.... you can see that this washer is not working and it’s cutting my clothing and mats and it doesn’t complete washing...

My husband and I moved to Camelot La Mer from Long Island, NY seven years ago and we absolutely love it here. I highly recommend the townhouses in this community. We have the Jordan layout (2 bed/2.5 bath/2 car garage/3 floors). We have a two car garage that accommodates 2 large SUV's and it’s especially convenient to have when there is a snowstorm. The Camelot office staff is absolutely wonderful! Tracey, Melissa, Bob, Sabrina and Wes are always helpful and accommodating to the residents’ requests. Pre-pandemic the office held Halloween parties, Breakfast with Santa for the kids, Summer Luau BBQ, Bingo nights and movie night at the pool. When the world shutdown, the office staff kept us informed of gym and pool guidelines. The pool remained open in the summer of 2020 and 2021 with strict occupancy limits for our safety and social distance policies which I fully appreciated and enjoyed. The residents were able to enjoy the pool, fire pit and BBQ grills along with poolside Bingo and an outdoor Summer BBQ! The maintenance staff has been great! Anthony and Dave have been timely, efficient and professional with any repairs needed throughout the years. The online resident portal has been wonderful for submitting maintenance requests as well. The community is pet friendly and dog waste bags and trash cans are provided at each dog park and around the community. I love it here and hope to continue calling it my home for years to come.

The reviews I’ve seen from other people can’t be true.... seriously, I’ve been living here for a little over two years now. I don't know where these other people were living or how things were years back, but I can tell you my experience has been beyond incredible. From the day I took the tour of the apartment with one of the leasing agents to the day I signed to the day I got my keys, the process with the office has been transparent, fast and efficient. Not only did I get a beautiful apartment that has updated cabinetry and countertops and has spacious rooms, my washer and dryer is awesome. I get to hang out at the pool which is clean and very well-kept with some really great neighbors. The complex always does something for the holidays whether for kids with Santa or a Halloween party or cookouts for the summer time to get to know your neighbors. I have never been in any other complex that has been as engaged with their residents as Camelot has been. I have met the property manager, Tracy and her assistant manager Melissa, Wes, Sabrina and Bob in the leasing office plus with all the maintenance guys- Christian, Rich, Anthony. I see them every morning at 8 with the trash cans picking up after residents.
We even have a community mayor that plans events and she’s what embodies community at Camelot.

No other place in Sayreville (except their other property Town Lake) is as nice in my opinion.
